Leroy Merlin to work at Forest

The home improvement retailer Leroy Merlin has chosen workspaces at the Forest green campus in Warsaw. The buildings developed by HB Reavis will offer Leroy Merlin employees as many as 12,000 sqm of office space, a range of amenities and access to a great public transport system. This is one of the largest such transactions in the Warsaw property market this year.

Places such as Forest fulfil the need for a tailor made workspace that support talents while ensuring safety and well-being. Leroy Merlin’s new Polish office will occupy three floors in the highest part of Forest mixed-use buildings developed opposite the Westfield Arkadia shopping centre. The relocation is scheduled for 2022.

Forest is among the most sustainable buildings in Poland. It is also one of the largest projects in Europe certified against the BREEAM, BREEAM Communities and WELL schemes.

Surrounding a public green patio the size of two football pitches, the buildings will be fitted with energy-saving solutions (including an innovative shading glass facade) and rainwater harvesting systems. Forest roofs will include relaxation areas for employees and even a community garden. Balconies and loggias, which are a rarity in office buildings, will offer an attractive view of the surrounding urban jungle.

Forest users and visitors will enjoy a range of contactless solutions in common areas for greater safety, including smart lift call integrated into contactless access gates, virtual access cards on mobile devices and a number plate recognition system at the underground garage entryway. The buildings will be compatible with Symbiosy, a smart workspace solution developed by HB Reavis that enhances organisational collaboration and effectively assess space utilisation, as well as improves employee wellbeing and performance through digital experiences.

Construction works on Forest will last until the end of 2021, with the first stage of the campus scheduled to complete at the beginning of the year 2021. It will offer a total of 78,000 sqm of workspace, as well as retail and food units on the ground floors. The project also includes the regeneration of the surrounding road, pavements and building a new bike path. The Forest buildings will offer a total of up to 500 convenient bike stalls.
